Class Plastics is once again proud to be supporting Jaxon Evans as he competes in the 2018 Porsche Carrera Cup Australia.
The Porsche Carrera Cup is one of the most prestigious motor racing series in the country. It is the fastest one-make series featuring the country’s best sports car drivers from professional motor racing teams to privately funded drivers. Adding to this year’s excitement was the introduction of the new and more powerful Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car.
Being of service to the automotive industry and a huge fan of sports, Class Plastics is very honored to be one of the sponsors in the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia.
This is the second year that we are partnering with Jaxon Evans of the McElrea Racing Team. He did an amazing job finishing in the first place and taking an overall win for the first round.
Why the Carrera Cup?
Porsche being the world’s most iconic car, perfectly fits Class Plastics’ virtue. If there is one car we would like to be associated with, it will definitely be a Porsche.
The thrilling race, unexpected action and excitement of the Carrera Cup provice a great avenue not only for meeting new people and expanding our network, but also to engage with our customers. Organising a day out with our staff and customers to watch the race is an amazingly fun way to break away from the day to day activities of the business. We get to know our customers outside of their businesses and simply have fun. For us, it just a perfect way to show our appreciation to our customers and nurture the relationship we have built over the years.
Jaxon Evans
Class Plastics is once again very proud to be supporting Jaxon Evans (car #7) in this year’s Porsche Carrera Cup.
Jaxon is a talented Queensland based Kiwi driver. This is his second year competing int he Carrera Cup, and is undoubtedly stepping up the ranks to make his rank int he motorsport world.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise since he came from a family of racers. He is the grandson of Robbie Lester, a threee-times Formula Vee national champion and co-founder of the Manfield race circuit. His mother Debbie Lester was also a well-known race car driver in New Zealand during the 80’s and 90’s, while his father, John Evans, was a mechanic for Andy McElrea, founder of McElrea Racing, who now manages Jaxon’s career.
In 2017, Jaxon won five races in his first Carrera Cup with two convincing wins at Darwin and Gold Coast.
As of writing, Jaxon maintains his overall lead in the Carrera Cup 2018. The seventh round of the season will be on October 4 – 7 at Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales.
